Johann qualified at the Stellenbosch university, South Africa in 1984. Johann practiced dentistry in South Africa and decided to move to the UK in 1998. Johann came to the Isle of Man in 2014 to spend time with his partners family. Johann has been a dentist for more than 38 years and has a wealth of experience in preventative and restorative dentistry. Johann’s passion is cosmetic dentistry, especially crown and bridge work. Johann finds it very satisfying to see the results and to see the confidence it can give patients. He worked in Both NHS and private practices and now also enjoys the pleasure of looking after our Denplan patients in our practice.
Johann is very good at explaining treatments and situations in detail to the patients and this help the patients understand exactly what is going to happen and makes them more relaxed about the situation. Johann has a very calm demeanour that puts patients at ease during their dental appointments, this is a very valuable asset to have in our practice.
Christopher Forrest

Hailing from Newcastle, Chris has a wealth of experience as a Dental Therapist. As well as providing a hygiene service, Chris is also able to undertake a clinical exam, diagnose and treatment plan within his competence; place fillings; give analgesia; take x-rays; re-cement crowns and do deciduous extractions, to name but a few. He can also provide teeth whitening under prescription and direction from a Dentist.
Chris was previously a Clinical University Lecturer and has a vast amount of experience working in leading dental practices in the UK.
Lesley St Rose

Lesley St Rose is a Specialist Orthodontist who has an interest in changing facial profiles in conjunction with orthodontic treatment. She qualified as a General Dental Practitioner from Sheffield University in 1993 and following this attained her Fellowship in Dental Surgery in preparation for specialist training. She obtained her Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Orthodontics (CCST), Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in September 2003 and worked in specialist NHS, private and community orthodontics till she re-entered the hospital service in 2012 to complete her post-CCST training. She obtained her Fellowship in Orthodontics in 2015 following which her primary role was as a Consultant in Orthodontics focussing on multidisciplinary care, until she took up her appointment as an NHS Specialist Orthodontist on the Isle of Man. Her other interests are in Public Health and she has achieved a Masters in both Public Health and Business Administration from the University of Manchester.

Fern is a passionate nurse who works very hard seeing over 35 patients in one day while working with Lesley the Islands NHS Orthodontist. Fern has been doing dentistry for 4 years now and qualified as a dental nurse in November 2020. Fern has shown great interest in Orthodontics and excels in this department. Fern’s passion for Orthodontics has made her continue her learning by taking a further course on Orthodontic Nursing and is due to qualify next year.
Sam Hammonds
RECEPTIONIST
Sam is the face of our practice and gives every patient a friendly warm Welcome when coming into the practice. Sam has been with us since September 2021 and makes a massive difference to the practice. Sam is a very caring person and is the Safeguarding lead for our practice. Sam is very passionate about patient and child safety and patient care and comfort is very important to her. Sam makes patients feel at ease and is always smiling with everything she does.
