There are treatments that, until recently, meant a trip to across. Added cost, added time and added anxiety on top of an already daunting process. We have been working to change that. We are proud to announce a number of new and expanded services, available now on the Isle of Man. Here is what is new.
Root Canal Treatment with a Dental Operating Microscope
Root canal treatment has a reputation it does not deserve. Much of that reputation belongs to older techniques and older technology. What patients have heard about from years ago bears little resemblance to what the procedure looks like today. We have invested in a dental operating microscope for root canal treatment. The microscope provides a level of visibility inside the root canal system that simply cannot be achieved with the naked eye. Fine canals, subtle anatomy, precise detail. All of it visible. All of it treatable with greater accuracy. The result is more precise treatment, fewer complications and a significantly better chance of saving the natural tooth. Keeping your own teeth is always the goal. This technology gives us the best possible chance of achieving it.If you have been told you need root canal treatment, or if you have been putting it off, speak to us first. The conversation costs nothing and the reality is far less daunting than the reputation suggests.
Dental Implants and All-on-4 Treatment
Dental implants are the closest thing dentistry has to a natural tooth. Fixed in place, indistinguishable in feel and function, and built to last. We offer implant placement and full restoration, from the initial consultation through to the finished result. We are now also offering All-on-4 treatment for eligible patients. All-on-4 is a full-arch solution. A complete set of fixed, permanent teeth supported by four strategically placed implants. For patients who have lost multiple teeth, or who are facing that prospect, it is a life-changing treatment. Unlike removable dentures, All-on-4 implants do not come out. They do not shift, slip or require adhesives. Patients eat, speak and smile exactly as they would with natural teeth. Not every patient is suitable, and eligibility depends on bone density, general health and several other factors. The first step is a consultation, where we will assess your situation and advise on whether implant treatment is right for you.
Botox for TMJ Disorder
Temporomandibular joint disorder, commonly known as TMJ, affects the joint connecting your jaw to your skull. For patients living with it, the symptoms can be persistent and disruptive. Jaw pain, clicking, limited movement, headaches and facial discomfort are all common. We now offer Botox as a treatment for TMJ disorder. Small, precise doses are used to reduce the muscle tension around the joint that drives many of the symptoms. It is a minimally invasive, well-established approach that targets the cause rather than managing the symptoms alone. If jaw pain or discomfort is something you have been dealing with, it is worth a conversation. Many patients are not aware that an effective treatment is available.
